Tragic Cyprus death of international ballet star, 31
RIPThe Brazilian dancer Denis Vieira has died in Nicosia, Cyprus, after hitting his head in a fall at home.
After a teenaged start as soloist at the Teatro Municipal Do Rio De Janeiro, Denis made the leap to the world stage, dancing with Zurich Ballet, Berlin, Munich and Northern Ballet in Britain before making a post-pandemic return at the Coliseum in London.
He made his home in Leeds but moved to Nicosia with a new partner.
The funeral will take place in Cyprus tomorrow.
