Kansas City lands a concertmaster
NewsKansas City Symphony has hired Jun Iwasaki as its next concertmaster, starting September.
He was previously concertmaster of the Nashville Symphony.

Kansas City seems to be becoming a more significant orchestra, with a decent number of its players winning jobs in the top-tier orchestras. But is it a better job than Nashville?
I would venture that Nashville has become too expensive to live in and has outgrown itself, much like Austin. Kansas City sounds like a nice alternative.
Jun was head of a fabulous first violin section in Nashville.
