Ukrainians form new orchestra in Germany
NewsNot many orchestras get to give their very first performance at Berlin’s famed Philharmonie.
A new orchestra called Mriya, the Ukrainian word for dream, will do so tomorrow.
There are 30 musicians so far and the conductor is Margaryta Grynyvetska, formerly of Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. She says: ‘I did not imagine that our first meeting would take place on a big stage like the Berliner Philharmonie,’ she told DW.
