Chava Alberstein’s unique take of the Had Gadia song from the Hagadah has a bitter political take. Listen until the end. When released, in 1989, it caused an uproar and was even prohibited on radio and TV for some weeks. Sublime. Today, at 75, Chava still goes strong, performing to sold out halls (try to get a ticket for August!) and releases new albums.
