The LA Philharmonic harpist Emmanuel Ceysson has shared his sorrow at the death of Ann Ronus, an Australian-born member of the board who recently endowed his chair in the orchestra.

Ann, originally from Adelaide, was with her husband Robert a longstanding supporter of symphonic music at Walt Disney Hall.

LA Phl principal horn Andrew Bain, who is also from Adelaide, has added his condolences.

    Such generous, kind supporters of no shortage of arts organizations in LA – the Phil, Opera, Colburn and Chamber Orchestra among them. Ann will be deeply missed. She was gracious, warm, fun-loving, and when it came to her philanthropy – only interested in what was best for the institution. Such sad news.
