Broadway mourns conductor, 69
RIPThe composer and conductor Keith Herrmann has died of an unspecified cause.
The director James A. Rocco writes:
We lost Keith Herrmann this weekend. During my time with CATS, Keith was my hero. We forged a bond that was based on a mutual understanding of music. Keith conducted that show brilliantly. He breathed and made music with you. As a writer, he had the ability to compose a melody that immediately felt comfortable while staying totally unique and original. I treasured every single recording session, industrial and club gig. We just spoke a few weeks ago about a perfect retirement gig would be him at the piano and me on a stool singing our favorite songs. I’ll miss you Keith. Keeping Georgia and AJ in my thoughts and sending them love.
R.I.P.
