La Scala laments a beloved opera director
RIPThere has been an outpouring of grief at La Scala over the sudden death of Lorenza Cantini, a staff producer with an international career.
The last production she worked on was Leo Muscato’s new production of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, conductor Riccardo Chailly, which premiered last month.
Her overseas productions include La Fanciulla del West at Baltimore Opera and La Forza del Destino for the Athens International Festival.
Very sad news….
