Salzburg puts 150 local women on Don Giovanni stage
NewsDirector Romeo Castellucci has recruited 150 women from Salzburg on stage as extras in his Don Giovanni production.

Castellucci claims he is giving these women a face and a story. ‘It is a fantastic, concrete connection with the city; I am delighted that we have found 150 women from Salzburg to participate.’
The conductor Teodor Currentzis says: ‘I value the way in which Romeo sees details other people miss. He has an incredibly intuition that makes him examine these very details, while sticking very closely to Mozart’s own dramaturgy.’
It’s hot in Salzburg so he cut off his sleeves.

Of greater concern is is the attainment of proper social diversity:
