He’s son of conductor Myung-Whun Chung, nephew of violinist Kyung-wha and cellist Myung-wha.

Maestro Chung’s father is the conductor that Muti refers to as “the Chinaman” (“Il Cinese”), according to reputable news agency Ansa and Il Giorno, an Italian newspaper (see article:

Muti wants to be seen as the greatest at everything, including ignorance. So he’s doubling down. Not only he uses a slur to refer to Maestro Myung-Whun Chung, with clear intent to mock (Muti’s MO). He also confuses Chinese with Koreans. Dealing with Muti, one has to fear the worst: perhaps he concluded that they look all the same?
Muti The Class Act never ceases to amaze. Asian readers are likely not pleased.

“Il piccolo Cinese”?
Instead of just celebrating a new and talented maestro to the scene you drag Muti into the mix. You must have a thing for Muti. Were you scorned by Muti at some time? Your world centers around him. Let it go already. Leave Chicago if you must.
Ah, Mogadon the Second. Let’s hope a bit more life than his father!
