Russian media report the death of Olga  Moiseyeva, star of the Kirov Ballet who went on to become its senior teacher in 1972.

She was one of the lastlinks to the Vaganova Method that conditioned so many Soviet ballerinas.

    I’d no idea she was still alive — another legend gone. Ballet is the poorer today. RIP.
