Well, for me EVEN the gestures. His best songs became scenes to be acted. La Boheme. What Makes a Man. Yesterday When I Was Young. And I in My Chair. et encore, encore. I was fortunate to see him live twice. And I happened to be in Paris the day he passed away. Crossing the Boulevard Saint-Michel that evening, people were blasting his recordings from their windows, two or three playing at the same time. What a tribute.
