Probably things were not well in Berlin.

    • Malcolm James says:

Deputising is a long, long way from any sort of regular job.

        How very true…

What does “deputising” mean in this context? It’s not a term we in the US are familiar with (or at least I’m not). Thanks –

      • PHF says:

It’s a matter of priority and taste, for some it’s better deputising in Berlin than regular in Aussieland.

They do know how to play Down Under; depending on how busy they are, it would seem a good job. I don’t think anyone would consider subbing in Berlin to be a long-term thing, unless they had a primary livelihood. But to my knowledge they tend to go first to their academy players.

    The link is broken hmmm..

  • Marj says:

The article is not there. Remove the link – what is there is hardly complimentary of Australians in general.

  • MacroV says:

Obviously an excellent player if she’s subbing in the Berlin Phil. ACO is a great ensemble and she gets to live and play in her hometown. Sounds all good. Once they can play again, anyway.
