Man goes on trial for stealing a Gagliano
mainThe trial has begun in Berlin of a man accused of stealing a $300,000 Nicolo Gagliano violin from the university two years ago.
Although the accused has been in custody for 14 months, the instrument has never been recovered.
Here’s its police mugshot.
Perhaps it ended up in a boot sale..
…or a little more accurately:
Two men are sentenced.
The trial ended today.
The violin had been stolen in March 2019, not two years ago.
