The opera house in Venice has recovered – just about – from the last inundation.

But officials warn the the next high water could be too much to withstand.

    Don’t talk about misfortune! It was a little miracle the fact that il grande Maestro Chung gave the concert of the capodanno in January. But I dread that the officials are right.
