The Semper Oper in Dresden has announced the death of Tom Martinsen, its long-serving Norwegian tenor.

    Horrible news. Tom was the well-loved house tenor in Koblenz in the 1980’s. Sixty-two is too young to die. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones.
