Message from Evan N. Wilson:
My brother-in-law, Jerry Epstein -literally my brother and best friend for 35 years, my favorite playing partner passed away this afternoon at 4:30 PM Los Angeles time. I weep because the world has lost a kind and gentle soul and I have lost a piece of my heart.
Jerry was a true advocate for music and musicians. Condolences to Rebecca Dru and Evan Wilson.
Thank you so much Larry.
My condolences to his family. Jerry was a truly wonderful guy and terrific violist.
Thank you so much Nathaniel.
I enjoyed Jerry as a colleague for many years. He was a great musician and brought warmth and humor into a great symphony orchestra. I’m glad he got to enjoy his retirement.
Thanks Paul. He always had something nice to say about you.

He always had kind words and warmth for all who spent time with him
