Touring opera is robbed naked in Germany
mainPolice in Gütersloh police say that the entire wardrobe of Lithuanian National Opera’s touring production of Turandot have been stolen while the company’s truck driver had a nap in a lay-by.
The company’s costume department is now working round the clock to clothe its singers in time for the show.
But it’s Germany; the singers are always nude on stage. It’s supposed to represent the futility of repressive hegemonic capitalism in the face of superior Marxist principles or some hogwash like that.
