As a lifetime Lover of ‘Boris Godunov’, w/ its pulsating melodies/harmonies, I am truly saddened upon the passing of Teo Maiste, a grand interpreter of
Mussoursky’s Masterpiece ~ A great Sage once said, “It’s always a tragedy
when a great artist passes …” It is with great sadness that this news from the Estonian press is received ~ May the Orchestras & Opera Houses of the World pay Tribute & Musical Respects to Teo Maiste, w/ ‘In Memoriam’
Performances of ‘Boris Godunov’ + Minute of Silence for Teo Maiste before
each performance … We musicians must honour our own fallen Heroes, of
which Teo Maiste definitely was and shall forever remain …
My Condolences to the Family & Colleagues of the Great Teo Maiste ~
