The Denver composer Donald H. Keats, published by Boosey & Hawkes, has died after a long decline.

An Elegiac Symphony, written after the death of his infant firstborn, was performed by leading US orchestras.

    Donald Keats composed a wonderful piano sonata published in 1964 which was often performed by John Perry and his students back in the 1970’s when I was studying with him. John Perry has also recorded it:
