She has done good things for both orchestras. Makes sense that she would give up Virginia if she is looking to free up her time to pursue guest conducting opportunities and more recording projects on Naxos with the BSO.
I don’t know how she’s kept up the pace she has all these years. At a point, she also held posts in Ulster and Honolulu. More power to her. She’s doing great things in Buffalo, and I look forward to more recordings.
A very underrated conductor. Her concerts in the 80’s with the Denver Chamber Orchestra were superb and far superior to what Delogu was doing with the larger DSO.
