Benjamin Morrison, a second violinist in the orchestra since 2014, won the audition today for a vacancy in the first violins.

Ben, who is 30, studied with Yair Kless in Graz.

    Norman, any word on Adela Frasineanu, who joined the VSOO at (I believe) the same time?

      Adela is still showing as second violin on the orchestra web-site as does Benjamin (Members of Opera Orchestra)

    Miss Frasineanu also played well in this audition but Mr Morrison received more points. She remains a confirmed member of the second violin section and is awaiting tenure with the VPO, as is Mr Morrison.
