Music professor, restaurant pianist, is killed by speeding vehicle
mainRichard D Syracuse, emeritus professor of music and artist in residence at Ohio University, was killed on Friday night by a Dodge Grand Caravan as he returned home from performing at Ohio University Inn. He taught at the college for 46 years and, after retirement, he entertained diners at the piano several nights a week.
Such sad news. He was such a highly respected teacher and performer during my days in the Music School at OU.
