The Royal Opera House has announced the death of Alexander Grant.

One on Frederick Ashton’s favourite leads, he went on to head the National Ballet of Canada.

    He was inimitable, unique. His dancing of the Jester in Cinderella where with such tact, humanity and charisma he shone through on a crowded stage was moving beyond words. Surely my favourite male dancer (and yes, I have seen them ALL)
