Russia orders airforce pilots to destress with Tchaikovsky
mainThe press service of the Central Military District in Astrakhan has announced that military psychologists have prescribed a programme of classical music for pilots as obligatory stress relief after combat sorties.
The music therapy takes place in specially equipped tents right at the Armavir air base, where pilots take off in Su-24M bombers and MiG-31 interceptors. The music is administered while the flight crew are sitting in charirs filled with polystyrene beads and designed to take the shape of each individual body for ultimate muscle relaxation. Tchaikovsky tops the list of prescribed classics, followed by Mozart.
Do other air forces have a similar programme?
Better not let on to them that Tchaikovsky was gay…
Maybe the intention is to turn them all into Sugar Plum Fairies! (with no disrespect intended to our LGBT brethren)
I could see how coaching bandits on how to shoot down Ukrainian and Malaysian planes could be pretty stressful indeed. These fellows might need full-season subscriptions at the rate they’re going.
Perhaps reading Malaysian news could help tunnel vision syndrome?

Wow. Any other source on that? I mean: a real one?
Or something from Wilfred Burchett perhaps, for good old times’ sake?
Still waiting for the un-doctored ATC recording confiscated by Kiev if that’s what you mean…
So clear cut that it isn’t…

Absolutely love the “it’s the Jews” touch. Been missing that – many thanks.
Woaw… Stop inventing! Nothing as such in the provided link…
“Ultimate muscle relaxation” (“полное расслабление мышц”)? Wow…
Same source of a thousand names, all over the internet, I presume?
You guys are something, to be sure, from generation to generation.
