His supreme moment on film was the Hungarian cimbalom he played at the opening of The Ipcress File.

Spectacularly mis-leading headline, Norman. Leach was a fine contributor to some John Barry Bond scores, but describing him as a ‘Bond composer’ is just silly and, in fact, not true.
Why not mention his work with Kodaly and Stravinsky as well?
By the way, Leach died in May.
