At a glance: It’s a joint venture of Opernwelt and Ring Award (Graz). There will be a “Mortier Award” every two years. The laureate him-/herself determines who will be the successor. The first award goes to Mortier himself, the ceremony will be on 31 May 2014 in Graz.
And Opera News should counter with an award to Mr.Mortier for killing opera as in NYCO.
