A unique and absolutely glorious voice which still weaves its magic,
Ten-euro coins? We haven’t even had a five-euro one, yet. Good singer, though.
Glad about the tenner, this is the second clip I have seen of John McCormack with his little black book. Did the man have no memory to go with his voice?
John McCormack sang hundreds of songs and left a legacy of over 800 recordings.
It was during his concert performances that he had his little book should he momentarily forget the lyrics of a song…….it was more of a “security blanket” to enable him to be confident of his performance…….remember….it was live and there we no “do overs”.
I imagine today many performers use teleprompters.
