The former Harrisburg Symphony concertmaster Odin Rathnam has been offered a 15-30 year sentence if he pleads guilty to 28 charges of child rape in Pennsylvania.

The alternative is life in jail.

Prosecutors want to spare his accuser, now 23, the ordeal of testifying against him.

Rathnam, 62, was concertmaster of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra from 1991 to 2012.

    Sad. On all counts

  • Fenway says:

Solitary confinement for the rest of his life would be the most appropriate next step

  • Rudy says:

Absolutely chilling that I went to school with this monster. No human being should have to endure what the victim experienced.

Considering the nature of his crimes, he will probably stay in PC (protective custody) for the rest of his life. I don’t think they allow violins.

He’s in a position to be ‘offered’ something? And people screamed when Trump pardoned those thugs from January 6. (Note: he could only get away with this in a system fraught with leniency anyway.)

    • Chris Jensen says:

Trump pardoned Roger Stone and Mike Flynn who tried to overturn the government of the US, as well as1500 domestic terrorists and released 5000 murderers to the Taliban. He is no saint.
