BBC chief quits
NewsThe BBC’s chief content officer Charlotte Moore resigned today to join Sony Pictures.
Moore, 56, had been seen as the likely next D-G, successor-in-waiting to Tim Davie (pic).
She has been with the BBC for 19 years, becoming its first Director of Content in 2016 and rising to Chief Cintent Officer four years later.
Her departure, which shakes up the power structure on the BH top floor, is unconnected to the recent takedown of a Gaza film fronted by a Hamas leader’s son. She was notably supportive of recent reforms in the BBC’s classical music properties.
