London concert hall is put up for sale
OrchestrasCroydon Council has overspent this year by £35 million and is seeking a government bailout.
It has been told to sell assets.
Top of the list is Fairfield Hall, a world-class venue for orchestral concerts.

UPDATE: The Executive Mayor of Croydon has written below, insisting the hall is not for sale. However, the Govenment has made the sale of assets a condition of its bailout. Croydon is no longer in a position to determine the hall’s future.
