Britain’s busiest classical producer?
OrchestrasTip a hat to Grammy-nominated Brian Pidgeon who is, we think, the most prolific record producer in the UK.
Brian has made around 400 recordings. He was Simon Rattle’s first record producer with the Merseyside Youth Orchestra’s Shostakovich 10th in May 1974 and he has recorded countless sessions for Chandos ovwer almost half a century.
In amidst this activity he had two spells as General Manager with major orchestras – Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra 1978 – 1991 and BBC Philharmonic 1991 – 2004.
Who could ask for anything more?
