I didn’t see Quasimodo anywhere!!
“Hot molten metal!” — Charles Laughton
And wasn’t he absolutely superb in that film!!??
I am sick and tired of being waken up at dawn by the local church bells, expecially now that the tolling is programmed on a computer and done by some auto mechanism, the French Constitution establishes the separation of church and state, church bells should no more ring than muezzins be allowed to call for prayer from minarets. Too bad the fire didn’t melt the bells.
Not like constantly barking dogs, hour upon hour, aye!!
If the bells were there before you, then you should not have decided to live where the bells can be heard. You need to move somewhere else more congenial.
Congratulations to France for getting the job done quickly. If this happened in the United States, the repair and reconstruction would have been tied up for years with zoning, environmental and DEI red tape.
