From a well-known UK entertainment firm:

Recall – previous news with obvious error!!! Julian is of course a CELLIST! Not a violinist – I’ve only worked with him for around 10 years!! Brain Fog!

Legendary cellist, mentor for young musicians and brother of Andrew, Julian Lloyd Webber is interviewed on BBC Radio 3 this coming Monday 14th Oct at 9.45pm.

In a frank, in depth interview about his life and fascinating career – Julian shares his emotional story of being forced to end his cello playing career following a nerve injury in 2014 and how he overcame the mental health issues associated with it….

UPDATE: Oops… here’s another today from Festspielhaus Baden-Baden:

erlauben Sie mir auf einen Fehler in der gestrigen Pressemitteilung über den Solistinnenwechsel – Gabetta für Hahn, Festspielhaus-Konzert 19.10. –  hinzuweisen:

Das unter der Leitung von Mikko Franck spielende Orchester ist das Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, nicht wie irrtümlich angegeben das Orchestre de Paris.

Die Solistin im ersten Konzertteil ist Sol Gabetta mit anderem Instrument und anderem Werk.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Allow me to point out an error in yesterday’s press release about the change of soloists – Gabetta for Hahn, Festspielhaus concert 19.10. -:

The orchestra playing under the direction of Mikko Franck is the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, not the Orchestre de Paris as erroneously stated.

The soloist in the first part of the concert is Sol Gabetta with a different instrument and a different work.

How many readers do you say you have, Norman? Because, thanks to you sharing, they’ve just managed to let us all know that JLW will be interviewed on BBC Radio 3 on 14 Oct.

  • Cynthia says:

Given how diabolically sloppy you are with writing and editing, Norman, I’m not sure you can be throwing such stones. This site is riddled, absolutely riddled, with typing mistakes and informational inaccuracies. Slippedisc is an ok amateurish attempt, at best.

  • JJ says:

This is a little mean-spirited. Everyone makes mistakes, and it was noticed and fixed. Let’s hope you don’t make such a mistake to be called out. Then again, we are all aware that the interview will be on BBC Radio 3 on 14 Oct. Job done!
