San Francisco Opera announces the release of “Eun Sun Kim: A Journey Into Lohengrin,” an hour-long film taking viewers behind the scenes during the weeks of rehearsal leading up to the opening of Wagner’s Lohengrin at SF Opera last October.
Directed by Elena Park, the film by Lumahai Productions is available in English and Korean.
I watched it last night Very interesting she seems to be doing well there
Blimey, she ain’t no Carlos Kleiber is she?
Right, she’s not dead yet.
Nobody is.
Insightful and touching, thanks for sharing!
No one who knows us calls us San Fran, much less SanFran.
Residents of San Francisco need to get over it. I’m tired of hearing them bitch about how their city is is referred. Y’all have bigger problems…
One of the most boring and uninspiring conductors I have ever heard at the Met, for La Boheme, to be specific…….
It’s Puccini, how inspiring could it be?
Is the SF Opera an appropriate venue for a music director to conduct her first ever Lohengrin? Using a Dover score?
Just so we’re clear, the Dover score is a reprint of an old Breitkopf and Härtel score that many professionals consider more reliable than the newer Schott edition (which has many misprints).
