An explosive singer-songwriter of the 1970s Kristofferson, who died this weekend aged 88, scored massive hits with ‘Me and Bobby McGee’ and ‘Help Me Make It Through the Night’.

His towering, bearded image made him something of a film star of that period.

More than a prety face and a nice voice. He was very good in “A Star is born”. Unforgatable for Peckinpah and scary in “Alfredo Garcia”.

    Great stuff thanks. Happy memories

  • Tricky Sam says:

    Also a Rhodes Scholar!

  • Don Ciccio says:

An useful idiot for the communist governments of East Germany, Cuba, Nicaragua, etc.

A great songwriter: Sunday Morning Coming Down is one of the best descriptions of alchoholism to be found and says in 3 minutes than many novels do in 200 pages.

    RIP.

This is the kind of guy every American boy hopes to grow up to be. Warrior- Poet- Lover. The lyric that he wrote: Freedom’s just another word/ For nothing left to lose…

That alone should have won him the Nobel. It’s just eternal.
