Youngest solo artist on record?
NewsPR release:
Jalimpa, a singer-songwriter raised on Suo-Oshima Island, Japan, has been certified by Guinness World Records™ as the “Youngest Solo Artist to Release an Album” for her debut album “Nonsense Makes Sense”, which she released at the age of 2 years and 358 days.
Well, this will probably chart and 40 years from now this poor kid will be performing them live on the state fair circuit.
Sure, the kid may have a musical future, but to me this is the human equivalent of cats-playing-piano videos on YouTube.
She’s terrific…..love when her performance videos randomly show up in my feed. She seems so joyous when she sings, acting out the songs and her diction happens to be excellent. That said, in a year or so, it’s likely over.
uhh in Asian countries they count 2 years 358 days plus 9 months
The youngest solo artist ever recorded was the baby on Stevie Wonder´s wonderful song `Isn´t she lovely` when it cried the very first time during the actual birth.
She will retire from show business to concentrate on her studies. At age 5.
