Hey Norman, would you like to name the Americans? Show some respect
Hans if you read, their names appear in the image posted.
I watched all 4 finalists. While I agree with the judges, it’s a shame there could only be one winner. Still, Mr. Wei was spectacular in the Rach 3.
I rarely feel this way about competitions, but I am glad to say I agree this time!
All four candidates were quite interesting personalities. Kudos to the jury for a job well done.
Interestingly two of them, including the winner, were eliminated early in the Bachauer 4 weeks before, in which overly cautious playing predominated. Remember, pianists, your fortunes may change on a dime!
I was most partial to Guerrera and would strongly recommend catching his early rounds.
Could not agree with you more! I was there! Mr. Wei is one in a generation!
Zzzzzzz. As Manny Ax has said, winning one of these is like going to a 7-Eleven and buying lotto tickets. Plus, 90% of winners are promptly forgotten as soon as the next contest is held.
