Lyric Opera to name boss
OperaIt looks like the Chicago opera house has found a successor to Anthony Freud (pictured).

Please join us tomorrow, Wednesday July 31, 2024, from 11am – 12pm for a special company meeting to share an update on the search for Lyric’s next General Director. The meeting will be held in rehearsal room 350 and we encourage company members that are on site during this time to join us in-person. For those that are not on-site, the meeting will be live streamed via Zoom using the Zoom link below.

The Houston Symphony is saying goodbye to John Mangum, its visionary Executive Director/CEO/and holder of the Margaret Alkek Williams Chair for the past six years. Mangum has accepted the role of General Director, President, and CEO of Lyric Opera of Chicago beginning this Fall 2024.
