A lovely voice and a lovely lady, I had the pleasure of working with her a lot in my formative years in the business. RIP.

  • Joel Kemelhor says:

Margaret Cable sang a vivid Mrs. Peachum on Denis Stevens’s recording of THE BEGGAR’S OPERA.

This is so sad to read. I was privileged to sing many times with Margaret and to count her and John as good friends – I remember many happy days spent in their caravan in the Yorkshire Dales back in the ‘80s
Rest in peace Margaret x you taught me so much in so many ways x bless you x

  • Susan Bradley says:

I studied with John in the late 70s. Margaret was always welcoming and encouraging when I came to the house for lessons.
