  • Henry Cohen says:

I took your advice and bought the recent CD of the week, Silvestrov’s Widmung and Postludium. I’m glad I did.

  • Yuri K says:

And who exactly “exiled” him? He left Ukraine voluneerly.

    • Jean says:

Silvestrov lived in Kyiv until Rushists started bombing it in 2022.

1,569 civilians have died in the Kyiv region since the war started. Silvestrov did not want to be one of them: he still has plenty of music to write.

  • Hmmm says:

Is it just me or do these two people resemble Alan Alda and Larry David?

Tallinn, please. It’s really offensive to use the 1 N “Russian” version…

  • Botvinov says:

Silvestrov chamber music concert was initiated by Odessa Classics festival, which 10th Season is being held this year in exile, Zurich, Luzern, Bremen, Ghent, Vilnius and this concert in Tallinn Estonia hall. I am very happy that because of our invitation of Mr.Silvestrov to Tallinn this remarkable meeting of old friends became possible.
