If true, totally shocking news. I have enjoyed their recordings

  • Herbie G says:

How can a chamber music ensemble be ‘abolished’? Who ‘abolished’ them? This is not Russia, North Korea, China or Iran, so please could we have more information?

  • LP says:

I understood that the chamber orchestra hasn’t been abolished, but the chamber soloists (Uppsala Kammersolister) from the orchestra have been. You need to do a bit more research before posting things like this….

  • Willem says:

The chamber soloists have been cut without warning after 40 years by an administration that made no attempt to save them and are hiding their decision behind financial issues they blame on the government. They were offered multiple solutions by the union on behalf of the musicians and refused. Unbelievably shady business.

  • Jerome Hoberman says:

    Isn’t Rebecca Miller American?
