Very sad, a lovely man and a brilliant musician with infectious enthusiasm xx
This is very sad news, what a wonderfully energetic man and brilliant musician.
Couldn’t have said it better.
Very sad to hear this news. I sang on many of his courses, one of the most memorable being the Bach B Minor Mass in Budapest.
A tour de force. Thank you for the music and helping to lay the foundation for the future success of the King’s Singers. RIP
I am very sorry to hear this sad news. However Nigel did not found the Bath Bach Choir. It was founded by Cuthbert Bates in 1946 – a year before Nigel was born!
Oh, how sad. Lovely man I met many years ago along with Simon Carrington. RIP.
I too, am extremely sad to read that Nigel has passed away. I played many times for Nigel from the time of his first performance as Bath Bach Choir’s Music Director. He was not only a very fine musician, but was also great company. Sad times. RIP dear soul.
