Their outfits will live on Anna’s Instagram. Nothing is ever really erased from the internet.

May they serve as cautionary tales for future generations.

    Yeah, well, Biden looks worse.

  • Philipp Lord Chandos says:

    Papagenocide

    Oftentimes less is more …

  • Cynical Bystander says:

People can wear what they choose. Just as audiences should be able to choose who they hear. In the case of the Netrebko’s , or one of them at least, it seems more censorious forces are won’t to interfere.

  • Gavin Elster says:

    Um? Who are these people?

  • Philipp Lord Chandos says:

    Almost cartoonesque, like the Simpsons.

  • Frank says:

Well, sorry, I think the red thing looks good on her.

  • Potpourri says:

Looks like California style. TOP: Los Angeles/Palm Springs. MIDDLE:
    Hollywood. LOWER: San Francisco

  • zandonai says:

That’s nothing new. A lot of opera costume designers wear outlandish clothes like that. Only things missing are big daddy gold chains and oversized sunglasses… maybe on their TikTok?
But it’s far cry from the innocent young Anna I first met in 1990’s San Francisco with no air or attitude. Even though I was just a kid I had a big xoxo crush on her.

  • Truth Hurts says:

I wouldn’t be caught dead in such ugly clothing. It looks like the ‘costumes’ in an updated opera production by one of today ‘s great ‘stage directors.’

  • ENRIQUE SANCHEZ says:

Did I just get on Entertainment Weekly by mistake?
