Ohio picks busy Japanese maestro

The Dayton Philharmmonic Orchestra has chosen Keitaro Harada as its next Music and Artistic Director.

He is 39 and has another orchestra in Georgia, the Savannah Philharmonic.

Harada succeeds Neal Gittelman, who is retiring after 30 years.

    Congrats Kei! I played with him in the Sierra Vista symphony and when he substituted for Cal Kelllogg with the West Valley Symphony – excellent conductor and fine musician. Good luck!
