US musicians are mourning the early death of Larry Polansky, American composer, guitarist, software writer and influential college teacher.

He was widely recorded.

    Larry was a beloved mentor to countless graduate and undergraduate students at UC Santa Cruz, a wonderful composer and guitarist, and a genuinely nice and generous guy. He will be missed.

    Sorry to hear about Larry passing. I have many fond memories studying with him and collaborating at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College in 1983. A great guy and a wonderful artist.
