Staseva’s other half is centre stage at Helsinki festival
NewsThe highlight of the 35th anniversary of the Night of the Arts will be Lauri Porra’s free music experience in Senate Square featuring more than a hundred basses, or so the press release says.
Porra, a bass guitarist who is married to the conductor Dalia Stasevska, is a direct descendant of the composer Jean Sibelius.
Other festival highlights include Esa-Pekka Salonen conducting concert version of Modest Mussorgsky’s Khovanshchina. arranged by electronic music specialist and sound artist Tuomas Norvio and directed by Gerard McBurney.
