Russian chief replaces Aussie in Berne
OrchestrasBerne Opera is parting company from the Australian conductor Nicholas Carter after a four-year term.
He is to be replaced by Alevtina Ioffe, music director of the Mikhailovsky Theater in St. Petersburg until 2022 and a regular conductor at the Komische Theater in Berlin.
