Super conductor and educator. Have seen him many times, most recently with the Irish NSO conducting Maxim Vengerov doing Sibelius followed by a brilliant Beethoven 7. Best of luck with the new job.

  • Duncan W says:

I’ve played under David on a number of occasions. He’s a skilled conductor, but more importantly, he’s a great communicator and a very warm person. Very glad he’s been appointed to this wonderful orchestra.

  • Tricky Sam says:

Very cool that they sponsor a “funkhaus” orchestra! Sounds much better than saying “pops.”

Great match. WDR Funkhaus is a fantastic crossover orchestra. They’ll have fun together.
