One of the best living conductors of our time! I am grateful to hear his music.
Anyone here know how to get worms back in the can once it’s been opened?
An unwise decision to show a rather tedious ad with a conductor you’re likely to love or hate (who certainly wouldn’t lower himself beneath Porsche level) and all the half-witted trolls are immediately crawling out from under their stones.
VW’s history is highly debatable but not in a music site.
Well well! It seems that there IS a method! Well done one and all. All the bonkers posts have mysteriously evaporated.
Too juvenile for him. He fits better in a Rolls Royce Phantom with a driver, paid by those orchestras he keep the beat to.
I can remember a VW TV ad from the 1980s in North America, where the German word “Fahrvergnügen” was used as an odd-sounding catch-phrase. (Means essentially “Enjoy the ride”.) It was ridiculous, seeing this hard-to-pronounce word emblazoned on signs at VW dealers in North Carolina and Nebraska and Ontario, This ad is better, thanks to Rienzi and CT.
‘Driving pleasure’.
I don’t understand is why post about Thilemann promotional drive for VW, when there is info on his own car. In a 2010 interview Thielemann he mentions listening to Madonna in his Porsche. I can’t resist wondering whether he now listens to Taylor Swift.

Better title: “Thielemann took a test seven years ago” as the video is from 2017
