Well, there’s a load of unlistenable tripe.
It´s music for grown up people.
Must be a trend to have woman conducting a woman composer’s work..the world has really gone woke
And not before time! But it is not so unprecedented – ever heard of (for instance) Antonio Brico, Nadia Boulanger, Ethel Leginska, Ebba Sundstrom? The difference today is that, except for a few old reactionaries, nobody thinks twice about it.
AntoniA Brico!
Your comment is proof that some are still asleep
The Sibelius work, Les Oceanides, is well worth hearing. It was composed for a U.S. music festival c. 1914, and was recently programmed here in Washington by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Magnus Lindberg’s Kraft..? At least there’s an interval beforehand to collect coats/ hats and scurry to the nearest exit
